     The AMCofA Scholarship Program for the school year 2007 - 2008 is underway.
     As in the past it is the generosity of AMCofA chorus members (and their spouses) that funds these scholarship awards. For that we thank them!
     Scholarship forms and instructions have been posted for use by prospective student candidates and others.
     Chorus members are encouraged to download and print these forms, (especially those for Eligibility and Application) and make them available for distribution to prospective student candidates. Start early; many students either wait too long or are not properly instructed on the requirements that must be met to qualify. Give your top candidate plenty of time to consider the program and to prepare.
     A probable benefit to choruses comes from increased contact with young people and educators in their area. This sort of contact creates interest in chorus activities. Potentially this is a means for generating enough additional local interest so as to increase membership within your chorus. Let us not forget that this entire program is about keeping the next generation of musicians singing and teaching others to sing.
     Use forms that are available. If you need additional material or a clarification send an e-mail and the request will be studied. A response will always be forthcoming.
