CLAYTON W. OLD AWARDPOLICY STATEMENT - APPROVED: OCTOBER 18, 1987Original Motion: That an award be established in honor of Clayton W. Old to recognize the contribution made by an individual or group towards the growth of the Associated Male Choruses Of America, Inc. This award to be known as the Clayton W. Old Award. Moved by Bill Bates and seconded by Russ Fleharty. Approved. A. 
This award may be presented at the International Big Sing every fifth year (or at such interval of years as determined by the date of the International Big Sing) by the president of the association or his delegate, beginning with the 1988 Big Sing to be held in Winnipeg on April 29 and 30.B.
The recipient(s) are to be selected by a simple majority vote of the executive of the associated.C.
The award is to take the form of a plaque at a cost not to exceed $100.00.D.
The plaque is to contain the following inscription:"Presented to _________ in the year ________ for (his/her/their) sacrificial devotion in furthering male chorus singing in the United States and Canada, giving unselfishly of (his/her/their) time and effort to the expansion of the Associated Male Choruses Of America, Inc." E.
Nominations may be made by any dues paying member of the association and should be made in writing to the Executive Secretary one year prior to the presentation of the award. Nominations must be accompanied with a fully detailed account of that individual/group's contribution that qualifies him/her/them to be considered for this award.
