AMCA is divided into districts for activities and association representation based upon geographical considerations. Each district has officers, a district Big Sing and other activities appropriate to that district. Districts send representatives to the AMCA Executive Council meetings where combined activities and policies are determined.

     AMCA Choruses are members of a District of AMCA and choruses participate in District activities. If there are no established Districts that are geographically close enough for practical participation, Choruses and Choral Directors may become Affiliate Members of AMCA. AMCA also encourages membership for Student Choruses for directors that are interested in such.
